My Sister Kate Mckie RIP 25/08/2011
Angus, Kate and I spent morning tea in Hyde Park, Drinking coffee and eating cup cakes, taking photos, playing in the fountain.
Nikon Bayonet Lens 55mm Micro(Macro) on 5D Mark II
30 years old glass, it’s better than my current 28-135mm for Macro. Even though it’s all manual, found it easy to take these shots quickly.
Time a for new site…
Been working with c5 for while now, and much more preferring it to WP, loads slightly faster, although my front page needs some serious culling, way too much on it, the best way to fit what I want in and have a nice layout would be to ditch WP altogether, or moving this to a blog section. hmm.
The Quality control of plugins is far more superior, even though they cost a little I prefer it. My next dilemma is the design, I want it to be something easy to use, but also be a little different from the norm. problem with designer websites is they put the Nav somewhere silly and know one knows how to use it.
Next dilemma is all the search engines, google and such having to re scan my site, people getting lost.
A redirection on all lost pages to the front until google get it sorted.
New Sandy Hackintosh, certified hack logo, thanks Intel
Couldn’t wait for my replacement board so I went out and bought an intel motherboard, DP67-BG, makes a nice Hackintosh, everything working nicely, had to change the bus ratio to 34 in the bios as it’s default is 29, which was giving a base of 2.9Ghz.
Sound Quality is good using voodoo.kext with the Mics turned down. Came with internal USB bluetooth & WifiN Dongle, not using it.
need a third party wifi Application and doesn’t have antenna attachments. My TL-WN951N would give me kernel panic’s halfway through loading pages, something that wouldn’t happen with the Asus Board, weird, waiting for a new IO80211Family.kext that might have shipped with the new MPB. Special thanks to:
tonymac and kexts.com for the fully operational battle-station.
It’s convenient that while all other manufactures have to recall all their boards Intel get to sell theirs, Intel might loose a bit with the recall but I am sure they will make plenty on sales of mobo’s to all the small PC suppliers that build their own systems, I talked to a local supplier who said, He had never bought intel boards before and now was forced to to keep up sales, he didn’t want to have to replace the boards of all the systems he had put together. Intel was only paying Motherboard makers for the recal not suppliers that lost business to the like of Dell and HP. Sad. (class action and investigation required).
Its also been good PR for Intel Mobo’s sadly I kind of like the board, even though it is .01percent slower than my Asus.

P8P67-M Audio broken problem
There is a recall on this motherboard, for a separate issue, I googled Audio Problem and haven’t come up with anything.
Audio was working fine on both OSX and WIN7, After Installed a wireless PCI card TPlink 951N The Sound died, Tried uninstalling wireless and the sound is barely audible when amplified. Haven not tried the Optical Digital Might still work but I can’t be bothered pulling out the amp.
Any one else had their sound go?
